Guerin Family -
Domaine Saint Antoine des Echards
The Guérin family has been producing wines for 5 generations in the heart of the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune in the village of Change. The estate now extends over more than 60 hectares, 35 of which are classified in the regional Hautes-Côtes de Beaune appellation and the rest in village and premier cru. Part of the production is sold via a cooperative, and part is bottled at the estate and sold only to local business relations. This means that the Guérin family wine is relatively rare, especially outside France.

History
The Guérin family has been present as winegrowers in Change for five generations. The family has evolved from mixed farming (cattle breeding, blackcurrants and vineyards) to specialising in viticulture. In the 1970s, they began selling bottles of wine from a 6-hectare vineyard. In the 1990s, the family stopped breeding cattle and growing red fruits to focus on viticulture, resulting in 45 hectares of vineyard in production in 2016. Today, Pierre-Antoine and Manon, the fifth generation, manage 60 hectares (in 2024) and continue to develop the family business, as well as the sale of bottles of wine.
Wine growing
The Guérin family produces its wines in the heart of the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune, in the village of Change.
Today the estate extends over more than 60 hectares, of which 35 hectares are classified as the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune regional appellation, and the remainder as village appellations and premiers crus.
To address current climate challenges, the family uses a high-wide vine approach. This method promotes biodiversity by encouraging grass growth between the rows and reducing the use of agricultural machinery, while also limiting the use of inputs.
The operation has been certified with the HVE 3 label (Haute Valeur Environnementale 3) since 2020.
